The Haas Brothers, twins Nikolai and Simon, are redefining the intersection of art and design with a unique blend of humor, whimsy, and meticulous craftsmanship. Famed for their riotous, biomorphic forms and cheeky, genitalia-adorned furniture, their work marries high art with playful irreverence, using materials like brass, marble, and porcelain to bring their fantastical visions to life. From surreal stools to otherworldly sculptures, their creations challenge societal norms, particularly around sexuality and gender, while evoking a childlike sense of wonder and freedom. Raised in a creative family and now based in Los Angeles, the twins have evolved from furniture designers to genre-defying artists with a sharp conceptual edge. Their imaginative work has earned them widespread acclaim, and in partnership with Redcar, they’ve been commissioned for a series of large-scale lighting installations and sculptures at various properties in Los Angeles.
